Hi there - and welcome!
We're so glad you've found your way to our corner of the internet. This blog is where we plan to share thoughts, resources, and reflections on living and thriving ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence. Whether you're a client, a fellow clinician, a parent, or just someone curious about understanding brains that work a little differently, we hope you'll feel at home here.
About Me (Amelia):
I'm Amelia Lowe (she/her), a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in beautiful Victoria, BC. I specialize in working with neurodivergent adults - including ADHD'ers, autistic folks, and those exploring late-in-life diagnoses - as well as individuals navigating identity, relationships, grief, and big life transitions (to name a few).
As someone with ADHD myself, I know first-hand how messy, hilarious, and deeply human the journey of unmasking and self-understanding can be. My work is rooted in compassion, humour, and a deep respect for my clients' lived experiences. Therapy with me isn't about "fixing". you - it's about helping you learn to work with your brain, your body, and your values, so you can build a life that feels like yours.
Meet Kristie:
Kristie (she/her) is my brilliant colleague, friend, and fellow therapist at Swell. She sees clients both virtually and (soon) from the new Swell Mainland office based in Vancouver. Kristie has a warm, collaborative approach to therapy and brings expertise in supporting folks with anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout (among many others). Check out her "About Me" page on our website to learn more. She's passionate about helping people feel heard and supported as they move towards meaningful change - and she's currently accepting new clients!
