Amelia Lowe
(she/her), M.A., RCC (#17586)
Amelia is the founder and heart of Swell Counselling Services. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Victoria (2016) and a Master's in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (2019), and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC # 17586) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Since launching Swell in August 2020, she has drawn on her experience in community mental health and co-facilitating ADHD skills and support groups to shape a practice rooted in compassion and understanding.

Her integrative, trauma-informed approach blends evidence-based theories - including Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, CBT, EMDR, mindfulness and person-centered therapy - to support clients in discovering their strengths, challenging harmful beliefs, and cultivating self-compassion in a safe and affirming space.

Beyond counselling, Amelia finds balance in Nature and creativity - whether she's hiking with her dog, knitting, playing the ukulele, reading, or spending time with loved ones.
