Hi! I'm glad you're here. I am the owner and operator of Swell Counselling Services.
A bit about me - I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria (2016), and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (2019). I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I have experience working as a counsellor in a community mental health setting, co-facilitating a psych ed support group for ADHD'ers since Fall 2022, and have been running Swell Counselling Services since August 2020.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors - hiking with my dogs, at the beach, reading, knitting, playing the ukulele, and spending time with the people I love.
My counselling approach uses integrative trauma-informed interventions that are tailored to each individual client. I combine evidence-based theories such as a bio-psycho-social approach, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. I support each of my clients in finding their own path and uncovering their own strengths and resources.
I encourage you to read more about what to expect during your first session, and the rest of my website or Psychology Today profile, to get a better idea of if we would be a good fit to work together.
